Help Network for a Great Cause

Due to the very complicated budgetary concerns taking place in Washington, the blog will be going on a temporary hiatus until further notice. Please note that despite the temporary shutdown of the blog, all twitter activities (@GISA_blog) will remain active as usual. Just Kidding! In all seriousness, we will be ramping down blog activities for Mid-terms, and will return back on October 20th with a new piece which will be sure to delight.

In the mean time I wanted to tell you about our second annual networking event (name is still a work in progress) taking place on November 19th, for Centraide. Last year, the Goodman Institute’s very own Dana Hajaly created this initiative with the very simple objectives of giving Goodman student’s the opportunity to network with some of the industry’s leading business professionals, while helping out a great cause. So naturally, Dana is planning on taking the event to the next level this year by packing the house with even more business figures, great food, and of course good times! However, in order for this event to be a true success, Dana needs a team of some of the best and brightest individuals (of course Goodman student’s fit the bill) to help execute what is sure to be one of the school year’s most talked about events. If this sounds like something you would be interested in participating in, you can drop me an email (institutegoodman@gmail.com) or even speak with Dana or myself directly at school (We usually hang out near the coffee machines between class).
Stay tuned over the coming weeks as more information regarding specific positions will be posted on the blog, and Dana as well as myself will also be dropping by some of your classes to give mini-presentations.

On behalf of GISA I would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving and the best of luck on any upcoming mid-terms, assignments, or presentations.
Until next time, I remain your friendly neighborhood blogger,

Jon
